PURPOSE:To separate and remove efficiently clads by feeding successively a nuclear reactor coolant into annular reaction chambers made into multi-layered construction and acting the magnetic fields generated by synchronously rotating magnets to the reaction chambers. CONSTITUTION:A vessel 1 is made into an annular shape spaced concentrically in a radial direction and a nuclear reactor coolant is supplied to the annular reaction chambers 2A-2C between a truly cylindrical outside wall 1a and inside wall 1b of which the axial line directions are vertically mated. Plural magnets 9A-9D are disposed apart from each other along the circumferential direction on both sides in the radial direction of the chambers 2A-2B. The nuclear reactor coolant is then fed through an inlet 5 into the reaction chambers and is granulated to large particles by the effect of the magnetic fields generated by magnets 9 in the midway of the flow passage. The clads are thus efficiently separated and removed. |
