PURPOSE:To eliminate the waste of the space of installation of a dry type cooling section under suspension by mounting a wet type cooling section and the dry type cooling section in an internal path formed in a tower proper and freely operating the dry type cooling section according to seasons. CONSTITUTION:Hot water to be treated is flowed through dry type cooling sections 10 from a main header 13 and fed to external wet type cooling sections 8 in an external path 6 in the winter season. The outside air introduced to an internal path 5 passes through the dry type cooling sections 10, indirectly heat-exchanges with hot water to be treated in the dry type cooling sections and rises in the internal path 5, and flows into a plenum chamber 27. The outside air introduced to the external path 6 passes through the external wet type cooling sections 8, directly heat-exchanges with hot water to be treated flowing down in the external wet type cooling sections 8 in the cooling sections 8, and flows into the plenum chamber 27. When humid air is not changed into white smoke in the summer season, etc., hot water to be treated is each fed to the external wet type cooling sections 8 and an internal wet type cooling section 9. The outside air introduced into the internal path 5 and the external path 6 each passes through the internal and external wet type cooling sections 9, 8 and flows into the plenum chamber 27, and is discharged by a fan stack 28. |
