PURPOSE:To suppress sufficiently the occurrence of moire and to obtain good picture quality at high resolution by structuring the titled device to make the product of sum ratio of plural color signals different in spectral sensitivity and sensitivity ratio in an image pickup section nearly equal to each other. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup element 1 is provided with a color separation optical filter and outputs W signal, Ye signal and Cy signal to different signal lines. Each signal is supplied to a luminance signal generating circuit 3 and a color signal matrix circuit 4 through amplifier circuits 21, 22, 23. The circuit 3 adds signals W, Ye and Cr and generates a luminance signal Y1. The circuit 4 calculates signals W, Ye and Cr, and generates a luminance signal Y2 and R signal and B signal; and the signal of NTSC system, for instance, is produced by a color encoder 6 through the circuit 5. The product of sum ratio of signals W, Ye and Cr in the circuit 3 and sensitivity ratio in the element 1 is set to become nearly equal to each other. The occurrence of moire can be suppressed satisfactorily by this way. |
