<p>PURPOSE:To raise durability during a high-speed drive, steering stability and shock-resistance of a tire, by using specific improved nylon 66 whose modulus is high and shrinkage is low, in a carcass cord. CONSTITUTION:A radial tire 1 has a carcass, which consists of at least three plys 7, 8, 11-13 whose both ends are folded around bead cores 3, and whose cord angle is about 90 deg. to the circumferential direction of the tire, and a belt layer 2 set outside of the crown part of the carcass, whose cord angle is relatively shallow. At the same time, the tire 1 has bead apexes 4 each of which is set in an area between the carcass and it's folded part, and whose complex modulus of elasticity along the side wall direction is more than 80kg/cm<2>, and a cord reinforcing layer 5 set outside the bead apex 4. Then, in the carcass, the improved nylon 66 cord is used, while the sum of it's dry-heat shrinkage percentage at 180 deg., for 30min, and it's intermediate elongation in 2.25g/d being more than 5% and less than 12%.</p> |
