<p>Individual electrical conductors are in the form of oval strips (10) of non-conducting material on which is deposited a conducting layer (26) of foil bound to both sides of the component. The strips are mounted between parallel rectangular section bars (11,29,35) which retain short flat extension portions to the oval sections. Various forms of macroscopic arrangement are possible, the whole assembly being built up into a slatted unit similar to a venetian blind. In one form the rectangular section bars (11,29,35) are retained by flat plate electrodes (31,33). Each blade has a slight resilience so that the conducting portion makes contact with one plate or the other.</p> |
