PURPOSE:To achieve a simplified work, a shortened working time and a higher economy in the measurement of SO3 by mounting a converter full of sodium fluoride or potassium fluoride before a detector for hydrogen fluoride. CONSTITUTION:A converter 1 and HF detectors 4 and 5 are cut off respectively at both ends thereof at a hole 8 of a sucker 6. One end of the converter 1 is connected to the HF detectors 4 and 5 through a connection tube 7 and one end of the detector 5 is mounted to a suction port 6' of the sucker 6. Under such a condition, the other end of the converter 1 is placed into gas to be measured to sample gas by sucking it with the sucker 6. In the gas sampling, it is important to heat the converter 1 upto 300 deg.C or more, preferably 300-400 deg.C. This generates HF by reaction of sodium fluoride or potassium fluoride with SO3 in the gas and the component HF detectors 4 and 5 are used to measure the amount of HF. |
