PURPOSE:To provide an on-demand type inkjet printer eliminating misprinting by creating a negative pressure utilizing an action when a carriage is returned to the home position to remove bubbles within ink by sucking the ink in a print head depending thereon. CONSTITUTION:When a cap 27 is separated from a print head 20 with a solenoid 30 and the carriage 23 is returned to the left after moved to the right, the piston 52 returns to the right with a return spring 62. A thrust plate 23P thrusts a piston rod 56 of a vacuum generator 50 at the point 5-6mm. before the home position to generate vacuum. As soon as the carriage 23 comes to stop at the home position, the cap 27 is pressed against the print head 20 to discharge bubbles in the head 20 by sucking ink in the head 20. |
