摘要 PURPOSE:To arrange with high density the anode pieces to become picture elements by a method, in which dot-shaped anode piece groups of each line of the anode piece groups are halved every other line for being commonly connected to each other by a wiring conductor, while arranging a control electrode frame on the upper parts in every other line of the anode pieces. CONSTITUTION:Dot-shaped anode pieces (a) coated with phosphor are arranged in the shape of a matrix in the line and row directions, while the anode pieces (a) in every other line are commonly connected to each other every other row by the wiring conductors 10 and 11 for being driven by the driving part 12 while maintaining a mutually supplementary relation. Further thereabove, the control electrodes (g) in the shape of a frame and integrated with 2 wires are arranged every other row of anode piece group for being driven by the driving part 15, while still further thereabove the cathode 16 is arranged for forming a phosphor display device. Accordingly, the anode pieces (a) to become picture elements can be arranged with high density while easily improving resolution in the display device long extending in the line direction by reducing the scale of the control electrode.
