摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent knocking from occurring by controlling an igniter at the spark advance suitable for the state of the intake control valve prior to the transfer for a predetermined time when the intake control valve is transferred in an internal-combustion engine having the intake control valve closed at the low-intake quantity and applying an eddy current to the intake air. CONSTITUTION:An intake passage 11 formed in a cylinder head 9 is divided into two, i.e., helical bypass 15 and swirl passage 17, with a bulkhead 13, and an intake control valve 21 as swirl control valve is inserted in the bypass 15. The intake control valve 21 is fully opened when an intake throttle valve 7 is opened by a control circuit 57 to a predetermined angle, e.g., 50 deg. or more, or the engine rotation speed is a predetermined speed, e.g., 4,000rpm or more, and after it is fully opened, it is held at the fully opened state until the engine speed is decreased to less than 3,600rpm, for example. During the transfer of the intake control valve 21 from open to close or from close to open, an igniter 49 is controlled at the spark advance suitable for the state of the intake control valve 21 prior to the transfer for a predetermined time.
