The cam grip for a rope (13) allows wedging of the rope without manual intervention. It also has automatic release of the rope under tension. The automatic wedging is by a toothed cam (4). The toothed cam has a cage (1), the base of which is grooved and humped in the direction of rope travel. The method of releasing the rope is by working the wedging cam with another control (18). The toothed cam has a tongue (6) and pivots freely. |
