PURPOSE:To prevent sodium from reacting with oxygen etc. and maintain the purity of sodium as a thermal medium by a method wherein a metal body which has low oxide material formation free energy than that of Na2O is constructed in a heat pipe so as not contact with this pipe body. CONSTITUTION:As a material to form an oxide compound with low formation free energy than formation energy of Na2O, are enumarated, in addition to vanadium, magnesium, alminum, titanium, and zirconium etc. This active material is equiped in the heat pipe in a structure floated from the inner wall of this pipe. |
