PURPOSE:To enable to obtain constant output torque characteristics even in a high speed range by variably controlling an output voltage of a main generator while maintaining the output constant. CONSTITUTION:The output of a main generator 3 driven by a Diesel engine 1 is supplied through a converter 4, a filter reactor 5, a filter capacitor 6 and an inverter 7 to an induction motor 8 via a variable frequency and variable voltage. At this time, at least one of a notch instructing circuit 9 of the engine 1 and an exciting current regulator 10 of an exciter 2 is controlled to variably control the output voltage of the generator 3 while maintaining the output voltage constant. Thus, the constant output torque characteristics can be performed even not only in low and middle speed range but in high speed range. |
