Chain saw

A chain saw has a warning device in order to monitor the operating conditions under which a lubricant is fed to a chain saw during operation. A warning signal is delivered if the lubricant feed to the chain saw is interrupted. The warning device has an electric switch which responds to pressure and is arranged in a suction line of an oil-feed pump. An alarm device, an electronic control circuit and a voltage source are accommodated as a unit in a housing and are arranged on the main body of the chain saw in order to monitor the lubricant feed during operation.
