PURPOSE:To facilitate comparative judgement in the next time inspection, by storing a received echo as an image data. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic probe 41 performs two-dimensional scanning along the surface of the nozzle part provided to the pressure vessel of an atomic reactor through a scanning mechanism 42 at every fundamental unit areas DX, DY at pitches DELTAX, DELTAY. A flaw detector 43 applies high voltage pulse to the probe 41 at a predetermined position to generate an ultrasonic wave and amplifies the echo signal received by the probe 41 as a time series signal. The reflected signal thereof is sampled at predetermined time intervals by a smapling processor 46 and converted to an absolute value by absolute value processor 47 while said value is converted to image data by an arrangement converting processor 48. Said data is displayed by a color display device 50 and written in an optical disc apparatus 49. Therefore, comparative judgement is facilitated in the next time inspection. |
