PURPOSE:To provide a one-pack type composition having excellent storage stability, curable at a low temperature, and suitable as a corrosion-protection paint, etc. for bridge, etc., by compounding a silyl-containing vinyl polymer having Si bonded to a hydrolyzable group with an orthoacetic acid ester in place of an orthoformic acid ester. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by compounding (A) a silyl group-containing vinyl polymer having a main chain composed essentially of a vinyl polymer chain and having one or more Si bonded to hydrolyzable group at the chain terminal or side chain (preferably having a number-average molecular weight of 1,000-30,000) with (B) an orthoacetic acid ester [preferably the compound of formula H3CC(OCH3)3] and if necessary, (C) an alkyl alcohol (preferably 1-10C alcohol such as methanol). The amounts of the component B and C are 0.5-25pts. and 0-50pts. per 100pts.wt. of the component A, respectively. |
