<p>PURPOSE:To permit discharge capacity to be adjusted steplessly by operating an air pressure in accordance with the necessary capacity in the valve opening direction onto the intake valve of a reciprocating compressor and adjusting the valve closing timing of the intake valve at the beginning of discharge cycle. CONSTITUTION:Each piston 13 for operating an air pressure against a spring is installed onto the spring-equipped intake valves 2a and 2b. The intake pressure or the discharge pressure is transformed to an electrical signal by a pressure- electricity converter 8 and trasformed to a digital signal in an A/D converter 9 and input into a computer 10 for calculation, and the output signal is input as analogue signal into air valves 11a and 11b by use of the A/D converter 9. Therefore, the air pressure supplied from a pressure source is controlled to act onto the piston 13. In intake cycle, valve opening operation is performed against the spring, while, in discharge cycle, the intake valves 2a and 2b are closed when the resultant force of the pressure in a pump chamber and the spring pressure exceeds the air pressure of the piston 13.</p> |
