PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of hunting, by covering a float, which is set as it floats upward/downward to detect the minimum quantity of lubricating oil, with a closed casing, and controlling the oil surface variation inside the casing by forming a pair of piercing holes on the upper surface and the lower surface of the casing. CONSTITUTION:As a detecting means 12, which is added to the bottom part of an oil pan 9 and detects a warning oil surface when the quantity of lubricating oil 11 decreases to the minimum, a ring float 20 which moves upward/downward as the oil surface moves, and in which a ring magnet 21 is buried, and a closed casing 25 which guides the movement of the said float 20, and in the center of which a hollow shaft exists, are installed. In the hollow shaft of the closed casing 25, a reed switch 22 is inserted as the warning oil surface is detected by closing a contact 23 by the action of the ring magnet 21. On the upper surface and the lower surface of the casing 25, piercing holes 26, 27 are formed to connect the inside to the outside, as the oil surface variation inside the casing 25 can be controlled. |
