PURPOSE:To secure the autonomous transfer of data to plural magnetic memory with reduced intervention of a central processor by controlling the transfer of data between the magnetic memory and a data transfer device with no intervention of the central processor. CONSTITUTION:A data buffer memory 131 stores data given from the lower devices. A central processor 100 knows that the data is transferred normally to the memory 131 and then gives an indication to a data relay distributor 130 to transfer the data stored to the memory 131 to magnetic disk memories 150 and 151 via a transfer controller 120. Then the data stored in the memory 131 are transferred successively to memories 150 and 151. The end of this transfer is informed to the processor 100.
