Stabiliser for e.g. medicinal and radioactive colloidal solns., consists of a modified gelatine containing fractions with mol. wts. 20,000 (23 - 27 wt.%); 10,000 (45 - 55 wt.%), the remainder being 10,000. The modified gelatine may be obtained by the action of water at 1.1 - 1.3 atm. and 125 - 135 degrees C on a mixture of gelatine, NaCl and succinic anhydride, neutralising and bacterial filtering. |
