PURPOSE:To improve stiffness of an oil pressure tappet and always enable to secure the predetermined valve lift volume by accommodating a contact member with a rocker arm in a cylindrical tappet body with bottom free of sliding and by supporting the contact portion on the supporting portion in the tappet body. CONSTITUTION:A tappet 20 comprises a cylindrical tappet body 5 with bottom, a cylindrical seam 21 which is interposed into the tappet body 5 and a contact member 8 with a rocker arm 3 which is fitted in the tapper body 5 free of sliding so as to place it on the seam 21. In the contact member 8, a groove 15 which is dent upward is provided in the lower wall of the circumference, and an oil path 16 is also provided whose both ends are opened in the circumference plane and the upper plane. On the other hand, the upper end plane of the seam 21 are made as a supporting portion 22 which supports the contact member 8, and the length of this seam 21 is set so as to have an appropriate valve clearance. |
