PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of the speed of printing due to superposed printing by forming a first layer consisting of heat fusing or heat sublimating ink, a border layer and a second layer consisting of fusing or sublimating ink having a hue the same as or different from the first layer on a film base material in succession. CONSTITUTION:A first layer 3d on which black heat fusing ink B is applied is formed on a film base material 3a for a beltlike ink film 3. A border layer 3c composed of wax, etc. is shaped on the first layer 3d and a second layer 3e, on which heat fusing ink Y, M, C is applied in succession, on the border layer 3c, and the ink film 3 is constituted in multilayers. When a thermal head 1 with a plurality of heating resistance elements 1a is given thermal energy heat-fusing only Y in the second layer 3e in the ink film 3 by adjusting applied pulse width, the border layer 3c functions as a barrier, and only Y is printed. |
