PURPOSE:To prevent regenerative deterioration caused by reading light, in a heat mode optical recording medium, by containing a quencher in a composition of a dye being a color reaction product of a specific compound and an acidic material. CONSTITUTION:The dye in the recording layer on a base material comprises a color reaction product of a compound represented by formula and a quencher is contained in a composition of said dye. This quencher is pref. a transition metal chelate compound. By this method, regenerative deterioration caused by reading light is reduced, light fastness is enhanced and the deterioration in characteristics during preservation in a light room is extremely reduced. |
