The invention relates to an apparatus for use in finishing or starching machines which treat the warp yarns before weaving, which is characterised in that the finishing or starching machines are equipped with drying chambers, in which the warp yarns are guided over conventional drying cylinders or are dried by means of other methods, whilst the hot air circulating in the drying chambers is heated, during its passage, by heat exchangers which are fed by the cooling fluids from compressors belonging to air-jet looms.
