PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacturing and assembling cost as well as improve the durability of a clutch device by completely cutting off the contact of the clutch with the input-side member except when the clutch transmits power to the output-side member. CONSTITUTION:There are provided both an input ratchet wheel 1 having a ratchet internal gear 1b and an impeller 3 wherein a plurality of resilient arms 3b each having a ratchet pawl part 3c at the end thereof are projected axially from a boss part 3a. A contraction band 4 is wound around the impeller 3 and by tensing and loosening the contraction band 4, the ratchet pawl part 3c can be disengaged from and engaged with the ratchet internal gear 1b. Such configuration may reduce the number of parts and not require strict conformity to precision so that the manufacturing and assembling cost may be reduced. Besides, since the contact of a clutch with the input-side member can be cut off completely except when the clutch transmits power to the output-side member, the durability of the clutch may be improved. |
