The invention relates to a process for cleaning a cuvette ring which has a multiplicity of test chambers extending radially and combined to form an annular disc, the cuvette ring being rotated in a circulating manner about a central axis and during the entire circulation time being acted on externally via an air nozzle, simultaneously in the interior of the cuvette ring air being blown into the radially extending test chambers and into the reagent chambers and blood chambers upstream of the radially extending test chambers, via an additional water nozzle, during approximately half the circulation time of the cuvette ring, washing water being injected into the test chambers, into the reagent chambers and into the blood chambers and during approximately the second half of the circulation time, demineralised water being injected into the test chambers, into the reagent chambers and into the blood chambers. In addition the invention relates to a device for carrying out this process. <IMAGE>
