A method has in this case been developed which makes it possible to keep boots and shoes free of foot sweat, the air in the shoe/boot being constantly changed. This takes place in that during walking the elastic insole acts as a pump diaphragm for the air. The air passes through a number of valves. The exchange air is, in the boot, obtained from the shaft, in shoes from another place on the outside.
