PURPOSE:To eliminate the needs to remove a cut sheet feeder from the printer when using a continuous sheet by a method in which the continuous sheet is discharged through the discharge portion of the cut sheet feeder without causing trouble such as breakage of the sprocket hole and the occurrence of wrinkle. CONSTITUTION:The sending amount A of a discharge roller 10 is set up in a very similar manner to the sending amount B of a platen 3, although A>B. A tension is acted between the platen 3 and the discharge roller 10 and the loosening and wrinkling of the continuous sheet are prevented due to A>B. Also, since A is very similar to B, the breakage of the sprocket sending holes of the continuous sheet by excessive tension is avoided. While the cut sheet feeder 5 is mounted on the printer 1, therefore, the continuous sheet P can be used. |
