PURPOSE:To prevent a sheet from permitting leakage therethrough in outdoor use in rain and enable printing condition to be visually checked, by a construction wherein a transparent cover in the form of a bisected cylinder closed at the top and bottom thereof is rotatably supported so that it can be brought into a position for covering a printer and a printed sheet and a position for exposing them. CONSTITUTION:The cover 21 is formed of a transparent material in the shape of a bisected cylinder closed at the top and bottom thereof, is provided with a support shaft having a pair of concave seats along X-X' axis, and is turnably supported by engaging with a projection provided on a casing. Since printing in an outdoor meter reading operation in rain is conducted inside the transparent cover 21, there is no possibility of wetting of the water or blurring of characters, and since the printing paper 8 can be cut under the condition where the cover 21 is rotated 21' with the shaft 22 as a center, the operation can be efficiently performed. Further, since the cover 21 is transparent, printing conditions can be visually checked during printing, and since the cover 21 can be easily detached at the support shaft 22, it can be removed when not in use, thereby facilitating operation. |
