PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a timepiece by securing a yoke to a base plate during the step of forming the base plate in engagement with a strip, and slitting it, thereby integrating the yoke. CONSTITUTION:A yoke 3 is automatically supplied to the base plate 2 of a strip 1, positioned by pins 2c, and integrated by welding to the plate 2. A slit 3a is formed by a slitting cutter at the stepped portion of the rotor containing hole 3b of the yoke 3 to separate laterally the yoke 3. At this time the yoke 3 is secured to the plate 2, and since the yoke 3 is slit with the pilot hole 2b as a reference, the positioning accuracy becomes preferable. Thus, the base plate is completed in the state that the completed yoke is secured to the base plate. |
