PURPOSE:To prevent as well production of flaws at the periphery of each rod to be fed as generation of noise by installing a hollow feed tube on the center line of the spindle of an automatic lathe. CONSTITUTION:A work 5 protruding from a feed tube to the left penetrates the hollow spindle of an automatic lathe and is rotated while being held by a chuck to perform various types of machining. When machining is finished, depth feed is made to provide a completed product. The rod 5 is driven by rotating sprockets 6, 7, and pushed out by a push bar 4. Lubricant is fed into said feed tube 1 through a flow-in port 14 at the rear end of the feed tube so as to prevent as well production of flaws on the periphery of the rod 5 as generation of noise. |
