PURPOSE:To enable an external storage device to be connected to any computer optionally by using an adaptor attachable/detachable to/from the external storage device arranged outside of the computer body and allowed to transmit/receive a signal to/from the computer. CONSTITUTION:An interface adaptor 9 is provided with an interface 10 including a DC power supply device converting AC power supply voltage into prescribed DC voltage. Plural interface adaptors 9 are previously prepared to obtain an interface adaptor proper to an external instrument connecting interface 5 of the computer 1. When a semiconductor storage device 12 is to be coupled with the computer 1, one interface adaptor 9 having the interface 10 coinciding with the external instrument connecting interface 5 of the computer 1 or a combined adaptor with the interface 5 is selected from the prepared interface adaptors 9 and connected to the computer 1 and the semiconductor storage device 12. The connected interface adaptor 9 is united with the semiconductor storage device 12 to function as an external storage device. |
