PURPOSE:To prevent a picture contamination in the next copy by constituting so taht a pressing member for pressing a cleaning web against the surface of a fixing roller is separated freely from the surface of the fixing roller, and separated from the surface of the fixing roller in the course of standby. CONSTITUTION:A web pressing roller 9 is supported by an oscillating frame 10, constituted so as to be freely separable from the surface of a fixing roller 1, and the web pressing roller 9 is made to contact by pressing to the surface of the fixing roller 1 in the course of copying, and separated from the surface of the fixing roller 1 in the course of standby. When the web pressing roller is kept in a non-contact state to the surface of the fixing roller 1, an offset toner which is made to adhere to the web 6 by the fixing roller 1 is heated, it is remelted, and it is prevented to make it adhere as a hot offset toner to the surface of the fixing roller 1. In this way, after the standby, generation of a picture contamination in the next copy is prevented, and a picture quality is improved. |
