PURPOSE:To always prevent spatial distortion and ununiformity due to it from varying even if integration time is varied by varying the nonlinear input characteristic of a nonlinear amplifier according to a selected mode. CONSTITUTION:The output of an adding circuit 64 is compared by a discriminator 110 with a specific threshold level and a timing circuit 112 generates a signal T for controlling the integration times of integrating circuits 71-74. Further, a mode signal M outputted from a mode setter 111 is inputted to a timing circuit 12 and this signal T is controlled with the mode signal M to vary the integration times to two kinds, i.e. long and short times according to the selected mode. The output of the adding circuit 64 is further sent to a nonlinear level control circuit 114 through an amplifier 113 to vary and adjust a nonlinear level control signal NL which controls various nonlinear characteristics of the nonlinear amplifier 5 properly for every event of radiation incidence. At this time, it is preferable that the signal NL does not vary so much while the nonlinear amplifier 5 is in operation. |
