In the case of a partial lining disc brake especially for motor vehicles a wheel cylinder bore (4) is provided in the brake caliper (3), which bore is led through the one leg (18) of the brake caliper as a stepped bore. Into the wheel cylinder bore (4) a pot (5) of drawn sheet metal is inserted, the base part (6) of which is formed with a comparatively thick wall. In order to obtain a firm seat for the pot (5) in the wheel cylinder bore (4), the pot (5) has a flange or collar (9), by means of which it bears on the step (2) of the wheel cylinder bore (4). For ease of assembly, the brake caliper (3) is also provided with a dome-shaped or radially extending hollow shaft-like recess (13). The inner wall (12) of the wheel cylinder bore (4) is equipped with grooves or slots (10), so that the outer wall of the pot (5) has only a line contact with the inner wall of the wheel cylinder (4), by reason of which the heat transfer from the brake caliper (3) to the pot (5) is delayed. <IMAGE>
