<p>Compsn. contains (i) 40-60 pts. wt. mixt. of 2,2-bis- 4-(3-metahcryloxy-2-hydroxypropyl)-phenyl -propane, (I), and, for each 9 pts. wt. (I), 0-3 (1) pts. wt. bis-phenol A dimethacrylate (III). ompsn. also contains peroxide catalyst, pref. benzoyl peroxide, and N,N-bis-(2-hydroxyethyl)-3,4-dimethyl aniline, (IV), as catalyst accelerator, Catalyst and accelerator quantities are such that setting time of compsn. is 40-90 secs. All catalyst and all accelerator are dissolved in teh compsn. Compsn. has a contact angle 10 degrees with dry, etched tooth surface and Brookfield viscosity is used for filling holes and cracks, to prevent caries. A polymer is formed adhering well to teeth for a long time.</p> |
