PURPOSE:To accurately detect dewing without directly adhering a detector to window glass by controlling the temperature of humidity signal generating means by temperature adjusting means in response to a signal indicative of the temperature of the window glass from temperature signal generating means. CONSTITUTION:A humidity sensor 1 is provided with Peltier element 3 that is temperature adjusting means connected as a unit in an insulated manner and with good thermal conductivity by epoxy resin, and a thermosensor 2 is adhered on the surface of the humidity sensor 1 and electrically connected through lead wires 5 to a signal processing circuit 7 such as a microcomputer. The control circuit 7 adjusts power to be applied to the Peltier element 3 in response to a signal of a sensor 6 for detecting the temperature of vehicle window glass so as to change the temperature of the humidity sensor 1, and processes signals from the sensors 1, 2, 6 to detect the conditions in which dewing occurs or is apt to occur and transmits an output to a dewing preventing device 9. Thus constructed, accurate detection of dewing is achieved without directly adhering the detector to the window glass. |
