<p>A system for application of pref. viscous or powder form materials which act as seals or adhesive, onto the ends of tubular or rod form articles, e.g. the tubular sheaths of electrical accumulators, has the articles to be coated dipped into the material which comprises the coating and moved about through it to produce a coating layer on the article. The article and coating material are moved relative to one another such that the article cuts the coating material level in two different places. This application system is especially suitable for strengthening the ends of tubes used as sleeves for accumulator electrodes.</p> |
