摘要 PURPOSE:To uniformly spread the two phase region or vapor-liquid phase region over the whole heat collector, in which volatile heat transfer medium is employed, and consequently contrive to enhance the heat collection performance all the more by a structure wherein the respective upper and lower ends of a plurality of absorber pipes disposed in an array in a heat collector are connected to one another by headers and at the same time a liquid reservoir of volatile heat transfer medium is provided in the upper header. CONSTITUTION:The respective lower ends of a plurality of absorber pipes 7, which are disposed in an array in a heat collector 5 and the respective upper end of which are connected to one another by an upper header 9, are at the same time connected to one another by a lower header 8. A flow pipe 10 to the heat collector 5 in a heat collecting circuit 6 is connected to the upper header 9 and at the same time a return pipe 11 from the heat collector is connected to the lower header 8. In addition, the upper end of each absorber pipe 7 is inserted in the interior of the upper header 9 so that the downflowing port 12, through which heat transfer medium flows from the upper header 9 into each absorber pipe 7, is located higher than the lowermost part of the upper header 9 in order to provide a liquid reservoir 13 for the volatile heat transfer medium. Due to the structure as mentioned above, the amount of the volatile heat transfer medium flowing down from the upper header 9 into each absorber pipe 7 is made uniform, resulting in making the amount of evaporation in each absorber pipe equal to one another. Further, because the heat transfer medium flows down from above, the absorber pipe 7 tends to be wet throughout the whole running direction of the absorber pipe 7.
