Pyridazines

Compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R<1> is a straight-chain alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, R<2> is an alkyl, alkoxy, p-alkylphenyl, p-alkoxyphenyl or trans-4-alkylcyclohexyl group, and the alkyl and alkoxy radicals in R<2> are straight-chain radicals having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, the preparation thereof, liquid-crystalline mixtures which contain such compounds, and the use for electro-optical purposes are described. The novel compounds are valuable components for liquid-crystalline mixtures and have negative dielectric anisotropy.
