PURPOSE:To form a lattice substrate sheet by continuously supplying fused lead between rolls, cooling such fused lead and rolling a formed freezed phase and setting mechanical intensity anistropy to 10% or less. CONSTITUTION:A lattice substrate sheet of lead storage battery is formed by continuously supplying the fused Ca-Sn-Pb alloy between a pair of rotating metal rolls cooled by the forced cooling system, cooling the fused alloy with the rolls, immediately rolling the produced freezed phase, forming a sheet by giving a tension by the S blidle used as the device which gives tension and setting mechanical strength anisotropy to 10% or less. Accordingly, deformation by elongation and anisotropy of corrosion of lattice substrate can be reduced to such degrees as can be ignored for the practical use. Moreover, the punching dust can be eliminated through matching of the sheets in larger elongation and larger mechanical strength and thereby yield can be improved. |
