A bolt clipper has two cutting jaws (1, 2) that can be moved towards one another and replaceable blade strips (4) of triangular cross section, each of which blade strips has a plurality of cutting edges (6a, 6b, 6c) and is supported with its side face (4a) facing away from the effective cutting edge (6a) on a flat supporting surface (5) of the cutting jaws (1, 2). In order to hold each blades strip (4) two detachable clamping claws are provided, abutting opposite lateral faces of the cutting jaw, each of which clamping claws has a retaining strip bent towards the blade strip (4), which retaining strip abuts a side face of the blade strip (4) adjacent to the effective cutting edge. The two clamping claws are formed by the two legs (7b, 8b) of a retaining clip (7, 8) of essentially U-shaped cross section made of spring steel and surrounding one of the cutting jaws. The retaining clip (7, 8) has at least one retaining element (7a, 12a) on its region facing away from the retaining strips (9, 12), by means of which it is supported on a thrust surface (10, 13) of the cutting jaw (1, 2) facing away from the supporting surface (5). <IMAGE>
