A cleaning device for endoscopes is provided with a reservoir tank 1 for storage of the disinfecting liquid 2, has a cleaning vessel 3 as well as a line for feeding the cleaning agent into the cleaning process, and a water and a compressed air line for rinsing and drying the endoscopes. Furthermore, there is provided an adjustable timing unit for time control of the cleaning and rinsing process. In order to permit all disinfecting, rinsing and drying processes to be carried out completely under the control of a programme, during which the endoscopes should lie in the cleaning vessel with as little contact as possible, the line is designed as a pump-driven disinfectant line 5, is connected to the cleaning vessel 3 and, on operation of a pump, floods the vessel 3 by circulating the disinfecting liquid 2 in a first processor-controlled step of the process. The inputs 18 of the endoscope are connected to a circulation line driven by a second pump, the line sucking from the cleaning vessel and being operational in a second step of the disinfecting process. In a third, programme-controlled step of the disinfecting process the disinfecting liquid is pumped back into the reservoir tank 1 by the first pump. <IMAGE>
