PURPOSE:To provide a recording material having a high ink-absorbing property and an appropriate degree of blurring and capable of providing a favorable ink dot shape and a high picture element density, wherein a surface layer in the thickness direction of a recording material consists of a mixture of a filler and a fibrous material. CONSTITUTION:A part of fibres 5 of a base 4 consisting of a fibrous material and a filler (e.g., silica having a particle diameter 0.05-50mum) 6 are mixedly provided at a surface layer part 3 in the thickness direction of the recording material, and a binder (e.g., starch) is mixed therein, if required, to obtain the objective recording material. |
