PURPOSE:To execute an assembly without using an adhesive agent by fitting a clamping tapered sleeve having an elastic layer to the outside circumference of an optical fiber core, containing it in a tapered hole of a sleeve compressed cylinder part, screwing a ferrule to a connector body, and fixing the core. CONSTITUTION:An outer sleeve 31, and inner sleeve 26 and a connector connecting nut 36 are fitted in advance to an optical fiber cable 39. A connector body 17 is fitted to the outside circumference of an optical fiber core 41, a clamping tapered sleeve 10 is fitted to the outside circumference of a projected core 41, a ferrule 1 is fitted to the outside circumference of a projected optical fiber 43, the optical fiber 43 is contained into a fiber positioning hole 5 of the ferrule 1, and its tip is made to coincide with the tip of the ferrule 1. The tapered sleeve 10 is contained into a large aperture part 2 of the ferrule 1 so that a turn-stop projection 14 is fitted to a slit 6. When the connector body 17 is screwed to the rear part of the ferrule 1, the tapered sleeve 10 is pushed into a tapered hole 22 of a compressed cylinder part 21, and the core 41 is clamped and fixed through an elastic material layer 12. |
