PURPOSE:To enable certain measurement, by comparing the image signals from multi-stage line image sensors respectively provided to right and left optical systems at every corresponding stage. CONSTITUTION:Upper stage image signals, middle stage image signals and lower stage image signals are outputted from line image sensors 9a-9c, 10a-10c of right and left image sensor 9, 10 are changed over by switches 4a-4f and amplified by an amplifier 5. Subsequently, the image signals are respectively digitized by an A/D converter 6 to be stored in a memory apparatus 7 and successively read in a computer 8. Fundamentally, the distances by the middle stage line image sensors 9b, 10b are measured and, when there are troubles in these image signals, the operation values obtained from the upper stage line image sensors 9a, 10a or the lower stage line image sensors 9c, 10c are employed. |
