PURPOSE:To secure the accuracy of the memory storage data by performing the rereading in case an error is detected with the information which is read out of a memory and stored to a memory element, comparing this information with the contents of the memory element to write the read information corrected by an error detection/correction means to a bubble memory only when the coincidence is obtained from said comparison and correcting the storage contents. CONSTITUTION:The read information S2 is supplied to a controller, an error detection/correction means 16 and a memory element 22, respectively. Then the controller 30 indicates the rereading of the same page when the means 16 detects an error. The information S2 is supplied to a comparator 24 and the means 16, and the means 16 corrects the error. The read information S3 given from the element 22 is also supplied to the comparator 24. The comparator 24 compares the S2 with the S3 for each bit. The coincidence is obtained between and S3 as long as the reading is correct. If no coincidence is obtained, it is decided that the storage contents themseves are not correct. Thus the controller 30 sends the result of correction of the means 16 to a host system and also writes it to the corresponding page of a magnetic bubble memory 20. |
