PURPOSE:To enable installation of cable winder at the position near to the ground, by fixing a slip ring directly to a bearing for supporting the drive shaft of cable drum thereby reducing the entire width of cable winder. CONSTITUTION:The dirve shaft 5 fixed to a cable winder drum 8 is rotated by a sprocket 11 to be driven through a chain 12. Here, an insulator 14 is fixed to the drive shaft 5 and supported by a slip ring 13. The cover 15 of slip ring system is supported by the bearings 9, 10. Consequently, the entire width L of the cable winder can be reduced considerably, and it will never stretch into the span even when fixing to the foot of bridge crane at the sea side. |
