OPTICAL SIGNAL MULTIPLEXER AND DEMULTIPLEXER

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a dichroic mirror and to reduce the number of parts by collimating optical signals of different wavelength from plural light emission diodes through corresponding collimator lenses, and making them incident to the corresponding parts of a condenser lens. CONSTITUTION:The optical signals of different wavelength are emitted by the respective light emission diodes 11-15 and those five kinds of optical signals are collimated by the corresponding collimator lenses 16-20 and made incident to the corresponding parts of the condenser lens 21. The respective signals are refracted by the lens surface 23 of this condenser lens 21 and photodetected in common by an optical fiber placed at the focus position of the lens. Thus, the five kinds of optical signal are multiplexed easily.
