PURPOSE:To obtain a carrier superior in durability, etc. by coating a carrier core material with a compsn. of a copolymer composed essentially of a monomer having F on the side chain and a monomer having an aziridinyl group on the side chain, and a cross-linking agent selected from acid (anhydride), epoxy, and amine compds. CONSTITUTION:A carrier stable in triboelectric characteristics to a toner, and superior in durability, etc. is obtained by coating the carrier core material, such as spherical iron particles, with a coating compsn. consisting of a copolymer composed essentially of a monomer represented by formula I (R is H or CH3; X is O, COO, or CO; and Rf is fluoroalkyl) and a monomer expressed by formula III having an aziridinyl group on the side chain, represented by formula II, and when needed, another copolymerizable monomer, such as (meth)acrylic monomer, and a cross-linking agent capable of cross-linking with the aziridinyl group selected from acid, its anhydride, epoxy and amino compds. |
