PURPOSE:To obtain an approximating circuit for the input/output characteristics of extremely simple constitution by using an operator which calculates the relation between the inputs X and Y as Y=(A+K)X/(A+K), where A and K mean a constant respectively. CONSTITUTION:A variable X is supplied from the input terminal IN of an operator 1 for Y=(A+1)X/(A+X), and the value of Y is delivered from an output terminal OUT. The center of the input/output relation within a fixed X input range is divided into areas A and B. Thus the characteristics (a) are obtained with the area A; while the characteristics (b) are obtained with the area B respectively. The characteristics (a) show a case where the value of A is smaller with a curve f2 than f1. For instance, the convex input/output characteristics of the curve of (a) extremely approximates to the exponent function characteristics of e<->X or approximates to a secondary curve in some case. Thus the continuous exponent approximation characteristics or the secondary function characteristics are available. |
